One can drown in mediocrity – this performance was not mediocre by Sophia Kanaouti Euripides’ Alcestis, at the ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, by Katerina Evangelatos.

I really liked it. At times the world is drowning in mediocrity – this performance was not mediocre. Artistic instances such as this demand that the commentator will look with a careful eye; when the artist is real, they are interested, they want to know what could be better, what could be worked more, they don’t just look for positive comment. An artist cannot be narcissistic (don’t laugh, I mean a real artist).
